New Study: Meditations helps Kids with ADHD!

Kids with ADHD are prone to stress.

I just read this great article about the latest study to be done on children with ADHD using meditation. For those who don’t know, “Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a developmental problem which results in poor concentration and control of impulses. It can affect children’s learning and social skills, and also family functioning. It is not an illness. With medical treatment, understanding and care, a child with ADHD can live a normal life. About 3-5 of every 100 children in Australia have ADHD. It is much more common in boys than girls.” Thanks to Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne
for that great definition. http://www.rch.org.au/kidsinfo/factsheets.cfm?doc_id=3713

“The study showed improved brain functioning, increased brain processing, and improved language-based skills among ADHD students practicing the meditation technique.” If this gets you interested have a look at the full article on http://psychcentral.com/news/2011/07/27/transcendental-meditation-lessens-kids-adhd-symptoms/28078.html
