Mental Health

It has been a great week for ‘Mental Health’ this week with the Government announcing 2.2 billon to be spent on Mental Health! Horray for the government recognising that wellbeing is one of the most important issues that we as a society face.

In the interest of your/your child’s/the children in your care’s mental health, do something relaxing today, perspective is the key and there is no better place to find perspective than from a relaxed mind! Here are some ideas on how to really “relax” and have fun with kids…

  • go for a walk in nature
  • have an afternoon nap
  • go to the park and play on the swings
  • backyard cricket, soccer or a game of bin-ball
  • go on a picnic
  • visit a zoo
  • hug a tree
  • plant  some vegies
  • work in the garden
  • take your bikes for a ride
  • walk the dog
  • go fishing
  • sit under a tree and read a book together
  • create a peaceful story/visualisation for your child to listen to
  • go and visit someone you all love (grandparents perhaps)
  • do a mindfulness exercise together
  • have a joke telling competition
  • give each other a neck or foot massage
  • go sailing
  • paddle in a canoe
  • visit a beach
  • have a TV free day
  • do some Rainbow Breathing

In the interest of Mental Health parents can ask that schools start to teach meditation daily. Rainbowcrystal Connection Information/Sample Packs can be sent out, just CONTACT US and we will stick one in the post for your child’s school!Let’s start a revolution!
